Margaret Goyne Duncan, 90, of Greenville, died Aug. 16, 2013, at Briarcliff Health Center.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Brady Cook and Shane Millard officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Harrison, Fannin County, on April 25, 1923. She was the daughter of William Marion Goyne and Ada Tarver Goyne. She married Samuel Duncan on Sept. 23, 1942, in Dallas.

She and Sam co-founded Duncan Electric in Greenville in 1955. She was a member of Hillside Church of Christ. Mrs. Duncan loved playing basketball for the Bailey Bulldog Queens in high school, Maverick basketball and especially the 84 games with her friends.

She is survived by her son, Sammy Duncan and his wife, Sandra, of Greenville; grandsons, Jared Duncan and fiancée, Julie Heller, of Greenville, Justin Duncan and wife, Rose, of Amarillo and James Duncan of Greenville; and great-grandson, Samuel James Duncan of Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Jared Duncan, Justin Duncan, James Duncan, Marty Hearne, Joe David Miller and Ronnie McKenzie.
