Obituary for Sandra E. Sopko
Sandra E. Sopko (nee Bristow), 74, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at her home. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and had been a resident of Lorain since 2016 moving from North Ridgeville.
She worked as a bus driver for Avon City Schools before retiring in 2014. Sandra enjoyed reading, cross words, shopping, playing the lottery, Cleveland Sports especially the Browns. She was a previous hairdresser and loved pets especially the love of her life Daisy and Tigger.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Christine) Collins of Elyria, and Christine (Dale) Sturgeon of Lorain; grandchildren, Britteney (Henry), Damien, Samantha, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Alexis, and Tyson; siblings, Charles Thomas Bristow of Sheffield Lake, Kelly Kommersmith of Elyria, and Richard (Debra) Bristow of Elyria, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth Bristow; brother, Robert Bristow, and sister-in-law, Lora.
Pastor Bobby Calloway will officiate. A private burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
