Mary Kate Blake Ethridge, 80, the widow of Harold Jackson Ethridge, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Ethridge was born the daughter of Joseph Jenkins Blake Sr. and Mary Runell Smith Ethridge on September 9, 1942, in Georgetown.
She was born the second of seven children, Joseph, Johnny, Becky, Kathy, Candy, and Brenda. She loved to lounge around and enjoy each day to the fullest. She attended Victory Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Harold J. Ethridge, Jr.; and a grandson, Corbin Ethridge.
She is also survived by her siblings, Johnny Blake (Kathy), Rev. Rebecca "Becky" Tilton, and Kathy Cribb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and her siblings, Joseph Jenkins Blake, Jr., Candy Diane Blake, and Brenda Lee Blake.
A Home Going Celebration will be 2PM, Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 603 South Morgan Ave., Andrews. Officiating will be Rev. Becky Tilton and Rev. Timothy McKenzie. Interment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The Ethridge family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 1PM – 2PM in the church sanctuary.
