She was a native of Asheville born on August 20, 1936 to Clyde D. and Lois Morris. She is preceded in death by her husband of many years, Bill Bailey and her brother, Clyde "Buster" Morris, Jr.
Elaine was a proud mom of four boys; Rick (Marsha), Mike (Toni), Tim and Steve Bailey. She was also the proud grandmother of nine; eight granddaughters and one grandson. She was even prouder of her twelve great-grandchildren; seven boys and five girls. She is survived by her siblings; Pete Morris and Skip Forrester. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She was a breast cancer survivor of over 30 years. She loved Carolina basketball, Atlanta Braves baseball and Alan Jackson. She enjoyed collecting anything with dolphins.
