Aurelia Rose (Ricki) Goudie (nee Zoellner) passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 18th at home with her husband Allen Goudie by her side. Ricki was born on April 9th, 1948 and was raised in the Marin County town of Ross. She and Al both attended Chico state where they became lifelong friends starting their freshmen year. Ricki and Al lived together on the family farm in Vacaville for nearly 50 years where Ricki raised her two children, Brian and Lorri, and made a home for her dogs, cats, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, quail, cows and sundry other creatures.

Ricki had three grandchildren, Brianna, Reid and Lily; and she has now gone on to chase after her grandson Reid who preceded her in 2020. That she shared her love of animals with both her children and grandchildren is evident as Brianna and young Lily already take great joy in the care and company of their pets and other animals.

To say Ricki will be greatly missed is a tremendous understatement. She was dearly loved not only by her large extended family, but also in the many communities in which she was involved. Ricki had a rare gift of putting people at ease and making those around her feel special, important and loved.
