Gaynor, Anna M. age 85 of West Chester, Ohio passed away Sunday March 5, 2023. She was born in Manchester, Ohio on June 3, 1937 the daughter of John and Bessie (Gaffin) Lane. On September 8, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio she married Charles H. Gaynor Jr. She was a long time member of the Faith Community United Methodist Church, West Chester where she was active in Sunday school, Prime Timers, Veterans Program and many other volunteer programs for the needy and elderly. Was previously a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church in the east end of Cincinnati where she taught nursery and primary grades Sunday school and assisted Dad with the senior high youth group.

She was a graduate of Withrow High School Class of 1955. After high school she worked at Ratner's Dress shop then moving onto Central Trust Bank as a teller, bookkeeper and then head bookkeeper. When living in West Chester she worked part time at Twin Fair and then Fashion Bug during the Christmas shopping season.

Her calling was to be a Christian caring home maker and wonderful nurturing loving mother and grandmother. Anna always had a smile on her face.

Mom enjoyed lovely flowers, bright spring colors, adventure and the beauty of life. Mom enjoyed the time spent at her Gaffin family's farms in Briar Ridge and then later in life Wheat Ridge in Adams County. Anna was very involved in the Ohio Child Conservation League, attending meetings and gaining ideas for families and activities. Was a Cub Scout leader, always a school room mom and chaperoned many field trips. She was popular and everyone wanted to be in her group. Some of her hobbies included bowling, ceramics and crafts.

Survivors include her 4 children, Charles (Barbara) Gaynor, Patricia (Michael) Billhorn, Scott (Michelle) Gaynor and Linda Maudlin; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Sarbaugh; a brother, Charles Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles and two brothers John R. Lane and Douglas Lane. She was loved by the Gaynor family and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Mom Loved God and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM Thursday March 9, 2023 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio 45015. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:30AM Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
