On Thursday, January 19, 2023, William "Bill" Wesley Cutlip, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away after a brief battle with cancer.

Bill was born April 25, 1947, in Sutton, to the late Gerald Wayne and Dorothy Brosius Cutlip; proceeding in death was his older brother, Roy Wayne "Butch" Cutlip of Sutton, WV.

Bill graduated from Sutton High School in 1965, attended Glenville State College, and graduated from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a medic at Elgin Air Force Base, near Pensacola, Florida. He served as City Manager/Clerk and as Volunteer Fireman #31 for the town of Williamstown, West Virginia. In 2007, he retired from the East Ohio River Gas Company (now Dominion).

From an early age, Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting with his twin brother Bob and deer hunting with his son, relatives, and friends at their hunting camp in Braxton County. He also enjoyed gardening, coin collecting, and genealogy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 53 years, Harriet Boggs Cutlip, Daughter Jenifer Smith and Jonathan, son Wesley Cutlip and Fabian Garcia, and two beloved grandchildren, Harrison and Mary Catherine, all of Charlotte; Brother Robert P. Cutlip and Nancy of Vienna, WV; sister Sarah "Sally" Grimm of Miramar Beach, Florida; Janie Cutlip of Sutton, WV, along with several nieces and nephews.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will forever be a guiding light within the hearts of his family and those who knew him.

Graveside services were held in Sutton, WV, at a later date.
