Mr. Hummer was born on September 22, 1919, in York, and was a son of the late Robert C. and Katherine M. (Loucks) Hummer. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War Two.
Mr. Hummer was a retired hardwood floor installer and carpenter. He was a member of Lower Providence Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hummer is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Coull, Lower Frederick Twp., and Gail A. Hober, Livermore, CA; four grandchildren, David Coull, George Coull, Gretchen Hober, and Kirsten Hober; and four great-grandchildren, Thomas Coull, William Coull, and Joseph Coull.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Hummer.
