Tom Julian passed away at his home in Ocala Florida on Feb. 1. He was born and raised in Patchogue. He graduated from Patchogue High School in 1964. While in high school Tom loved sports. He played football, basketball, and ran track. Later in life he became an avid golfer. After high school he attended Bridgewater College where he met his wife Debbie. After college they married and had one son, Robert. Tom began teaching history in the Patchogue-Medford School District. He also coached football and track. He loved coaching and mentoring his students. Many former students and athletes have reached out to us to tell us what a positive impact Tom had on their lives. After Tom retired he moved down to Ocala and continued teaching in a different capacity. He became a pastor at the Grandview Church and continued to make a difference in so many lives. Tom is survived by his wife Debbie, son Robert (wife Jana), five grandchildren, which were the light of his life, brothers Jim (Maryann), Rich (Linda), Mike (Shannon), Steve (Teresa) and sister Jo Ann (Kevin). He was predeceased by his parents Angelo and Elizabeth Julian. Tom will live forever in our hearts.
