Mrs. Ratliff attended the University of Wise where she received her Bachelor's Degree in teaching. She was employed at the Buchanan County School Board as a teacher at Garden Elementary School, having taught for over thirty years. She was of the Pentecostal faith, loved her cats, teaching. She was a loving wife, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Marsena Ratliff, and special mother-in-law Hazel Ratliff.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-five years Gary Michael Ratliff of Oakwood, VA; sister Nadine Childress Corcoran of Hershey, PA; brothers Chris Lane of Lynchburg, VA, James Lane of Iowa, several friends.
There will be a private ceremony held by the family in remembrance of Mrs. Ratliff.
