On March 2nd. 2023 Heaven received a true southern gentleman. He has joined his mother and father Birdie and Emmett, along with his son Roger, his older brother, Robert and his loving sister, Faye Huffaker. Tom graduated Claiborne County HIgh School, Tazewell, TN, he attended U.T., was in the military, and a graduate of Gupton Jones, where he achieved his Associate in Funeral Service. A far cry from being owner of construction company Coffey Underground Inc. Tom told of his memories of getting up early Sunday morning and going along with his mother to start the fire that warmed Springdale Baptist Church where he retained lifelong membership. He was not an avid golfer but enjoyed it. He enjoyed his fishing trips with his buddy "Whizz" boating and the Vol Navy. Hunting with son Quinn. Eventually he and his wife Sandy of 48 years, got into RVing, he could park that rig where no other man would go. They enjoyed their winters at the beach with their "beach buddies". His quiet demeanor, easy smile, kind generous nature will be forever missed by Sandy, his sons, Quinn, and Rhett; brothers and sister-in -law; Stan and Ingrid, Danny and Linda, Jimmy and Sue, along with other family and friends. The family would like to give a big THANK YOU to Pam Hill for her love and support and always being able to bring a smile to his face, especially when she would bring him chocolate cake, to caregiver Madonna Paul who gave him countless crossword clues, and to U.T. Hospice, the family will be forever grateful.

The family will honor Tom with service on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN 37701, in The Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel, with a Receiving of Friends from 11:00am to 12:30pm and a Funeral Service to follow at 12:30pm, a committal service will follow directly after the Funeral Service, in the mausoleum complex at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in honor of Tom to: Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. SW, Lilburn, GA 30047, or go to www.lbda.org.
