JONESPORT - John A. FAulkingham, 52, died May 1, 1976 at a Machias hospital. He was born in Jonesport April 4, 1924, son of Nathaniel and Althea (Beal) Faulkingham. He was a lobster fisherman and had served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Norma (Duguay) Faulkingham of Jonesport; one son, Johnny R. of Jonesport; one daughter, Mrs. Jeffrey (Cheryl) Fernald of Columbia; four brothers, Ira of West Jonesport, Luther of Prospect Harbor, Harvey of West Jonesport and Orval of Chester, Conn.; six sisters, Mrs. Greta Lenfestey, Seals; Mrs. Laurie (Charlotte) Burke, Mrs. Eugene (Etelka) Faulkingham and Mrs. Vinton (Genieve) Lamson, all of Jonesport; Mrs. Earl (Winona) Purington, and Mrs. Earlon (Marie) Beal of West Jonesport; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - day Saints, Jonesport, with Elder Michael Beal and the Rev. Wallace Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport. Those who desire may donate in his memory to the Down East Community Hospital, Machias.
