Antoinette "Toni" Albera, 86, of Wethersfield, wife of the late John Albera, died Tuesday (March 13, 2012) at home, with her family by her side. Born in Webster, MA, daughter of the late Stanislaw and Frances (Mals) Andrzejewski, she lived in Wethersfield for the past 48 years. She was a registered nurse at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford for many years and previously worked at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Toni is survived by two sons, Martin Albera and his wife Regina of Wethersfield, as well as Peter Albera; and two grandchildren, Dominic Albera and Anthony Albera, all of Lee's Summit, MO. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Helen Shiner and Frances Barry. Toni's family would like to extend a special thanks to her wonderful and loving caregiver and friend, Mary Prescott.
The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
