Mr. Homer Edward Cersey, 88 of Douglasville, formally of Nashville, GA passed away, Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was born October 18, 1934 in Nashville, GA the son of the late Clinton Cersey and the late Mrs. Eunice Griffin Cersey. He was a Machine Operator retired from Amoco Fabrics in Nashville.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Bennett Cersey, son, Monty Harrell Cersey, daughter, Sheila Faye Cersey, brother, Albert Cersey and sister, Shirley Nelms.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Gerald Clark of Douglasville, 3 grandchildren, Jessica and Andy Hayes, Jeremy Clark, and Ashley and Justin Rackley, 4 great grandchildren, Cameron Hayes, Landon Hayes, Tate Rackley, and Emsley Rackley.
Memorial Service will be conducted Friday, March 3, 2023 at 4:00 PM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Rountree officiating. Inurnment will follow Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 3:00 PM from the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Berrien County, Georgia with the Rev. Keith Burch officiating.
