Daisy J Welch passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 surround by family. She was born on September 28, 1939,to the late Alexander and Daisy Scott Burdett in Stockbridge, GA. She was a graduate of Stockbridge High School and Brenau University. Daisy was a hardworking and doting mother raising 6 children. She enjoyed baking and crafting, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her large family, and sharing her love of God. She was a long time member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church and loved to share the gospel with anyone who would listen and brought many people to God's grace. Daisy and Jerry would also frequently visit local nursing homes, sometimes multiple times a week to visit and spend time with the residents spreading joy and love. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and love her.

In addition to her parents, Daisy is preceded in death by her son Eric Welch, two brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of more than 62 years, Jerry Welch Sr.; sons, Dean (Judy) Welch Jr., William (Renee) Welch, Wayne (Patty) Welch; daughters, Lori (Loyd) Locklear, Stephanie (Mark) Whitney; three brothers; two sisters; 13 grandkids; 25 great-grandkids; four great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at Harmony Grove Baptist Church on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral Service for Daisy will follow immediately after at Harmony Grove Baptist Church on Monday February 27, 2023 AT 4:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Camp and Dean Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Hess Locklear, Jerry Welch III, Chris Kinnick, William Ortiz, Wesley Dillard, and Jonathon Welch serving as pallbearers and Chris Wright, eric Camp, Erik Mohr, and Zach Welch serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
