William Brown "Bill" Kennerly, 91, of Mooresville, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte. Born Jan. 25, 1915, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late William Butler and Amanda Christie Kennerly. Mr. Kennerly was a retired auto body mechanic for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Mt. Ulla. Mr. Kennerly was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Kennerly, and a daughter, Donna Matthews. He is survived by his wife, Martha Tyner Kennerly; children, W. B. "Toby" Kennerly, Loretta Kennerly Stutts, and Tony Kennerly; brother, Marvin Kennerly; sister, Elizabeth Kennerly Talbert; 11 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great- grandchildren; and 18 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 31, at Centenary United Methodist Church, Mt. Ulla, with the Rev. Eric A. Reece officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. Memorials may be made to the Hospitality House of Charlotte, P.O. Box 36891, Charlotte, NC 28236 or Centenary United Methodist Church, 620 Centenary Church Road, Mt. Ulla, NC 28125. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the family of Mr. Kennerly.
