Mrs. Mary Louise Landers 67, who resided at Johnson Nursing Home on West Route 48, died at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since October 30, 1968, died this morning November 4, 1968.
Mrs. Landers was born at Waverly, Ohio on June 6, 1901, a daughter of Jacob and Myrtle Wood Darst. After the death of her mother she was the adopted by William and Tamer O'Brien in Ohio. She ended up living in Illinois most of her life. She married Omar L. Landers on December 22, 1920, who preceded her in death April 12, 1945.
Survivors include two sons, Harry W. Landers of Ostin, Indiana, Challie F. "Bud" Landers of Taylorville; three daughtrs, Mrs. Tony (Ruth) Adomitis of Tovey, Mrs. Myrtle Hadley and Mrs.Charles L. (Capitola) Walker both of Taylorville. Two sisters; Mrs. Robert (Myrtle) Ward of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Emma Wagner of Pharis Hills, Pennsylania, 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and brother Frederick Darst. Burial was made at Harper Ferry Cemetery in Palmer.
Shafer Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
