MR. JAMES HARPER BLACKMON, JR., age 84, of Trion, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, in a Chattanooga Hospital. He was born in Floyd County, Georgia on March 18, 1938, son of the late James Harper Blackmon, Sr. and Lillie D. Ingram Blackmon. He was employed as a Supervisor with Harriett – Henderson Mills for a number of years and a member of the Living Waters Ministries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Blackmon.

Surviving are a daughter, Tina Loggins; sons, James H. Blackmon, III and Kenny Blackmon; Ten Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Bonnie Blackmon and Shirley Kiser; Brothers, Johnny Blackmon and Rickey Blackmon; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wright officiating. Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Joey Thompson, Drew Blackmon, Alan McGuire, Darrell McGuire, Johnny Blackmon, Trampus Kiser, and Cody Luallen. The Family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 Thursday at the Funeral Home.
