Son of William T. and Florence (Horswell) Allan.

He had made his home in Littleton since 1956, and had spent most of his life in Saugus before coming to Littleton. He was a graduate of Saugus High School. He had worked at the General Electric in Lynn until his retirement in 1964. He was the owner and operator of the Littleton Motor Court. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a former member of William Sutton Lodge AF&AM, of Saugus, Tahatiwan Lodge AF&AM of Littleton, a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of Aleppo Temple of Boston. A former member of the North Shore Highland Degree Team, he was a member of the Littleton Light and Water commission, and president of the New England Mobile Home Association. He was a member, former deacon and former trustee of the Littleton Congregational church, and a member of Post No. 2346, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Saugus.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna (Amero) Allan; two sons; Thain C. of West Boylston, and Robert D. of Littleton; three brothers, Carlton O. Allan of Saugus, Harry T.
