Audrey Adele Adams, 62, passed away on December 18, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on October 20, 1957 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Audrey was educated in the Pine Bluff Public Schools, where she met and married her first love, Lewis LaGrant. In 1979, she graduated from the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business. With her signature walk and her engaging smile, she became affectionately known as "Ms. A. In addition to her academic prowess, Audrey was an accomplished pianist, vocalist and one of the few African Americans in the UCA Concert Choir, which was the first UCA choir to tour Europe. She loved to sing and enjoyed providing musical renditions for her friends at weddings and various engagements. She was also an AVID sports fan!

Her career in retail management began with employment at MM Cohn as she was known for her exquisite taste and high fashion sense. She relocated in 1982 when she accepted a position with Lerner's New York. She was employed at Tony's before joining Turtletique, where she developed lasting friendships with the customers she served. Ms. A continued to excel professionally and was eventually led to Neiman Marcus, where she further sharpened her skills as a "fashionista." Her ability to see people for who they could be made her a success at choosing the perfect outfit for her customers.

Audrey united with First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park in 1982 under the pastoral care of the late Dr. J. Lee Foster. She served dutifully in the music ministry by singing alto in both the J.L. Foster Young Adult Choir as well as the Mass Choir for over thirty years. In her quest to learn more about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she regularly attended Sunday School. In 1998, she united in holy matrimony to Mr. Samuel Bronson III. To this union, Samuel, IV (Lil' Sam) was born. She was passionate about her faith and often spoke about the goodness of our God. She was fiercely loyal as a friend and epitomized Proverbs 18:24 by showing herself friendly and sisterly. Her beautiful smile could brighten any room and her contagious laugh could lift any heart. Her style, keen eye, poise, grace and loving spirit will be greatly missed. Her heart's desire that her living not be in vain has been fulfilled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Adams and Eloise Adams; her sister, Janet Adams, and her uncle, Robert Adams.

Audrey is survived by her second husband, Samuel T. Bronson III of Dallas, TX; two sons, LaMar LaGrant of Little Rock and Samuel T. Bronson IV of Dallas, TX; two granddaughters, Jasmine LaGrant of Tampa, FL and Jade LaGrant of Harker Heights, TX; one brother, Bonnie (Beverly) Adams of Milwaukee, WI; two aunts, Josephine Adams of Pine Bluff and Rose Foster of De Soto, TX; and a host of relatives and friends.

The graveside services will be held at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Pine Bluff, AR with Rev. Louis Williams, Jr officiating.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
