L.C. Ivans married Ollie Martin on 30 August 1914 in Garvin County, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death.

Services for Lewis Clark Ivans were held in the Thalia Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Shade Stephenson, pastor of the Goree Baptist Church. The body was laid to rest in the Thalia cemetery beside his wife and son. A happy family of three wiped out and now repose side by side in the Thalia cemetery. The son died at Bomarton a few years ago while a member of the senior class in high school there. Mr. Evans and his wife attended the University of Oklahoma but finished at Texas Tech. He and his wife came to Bomarton to teach school in 1931. He became the superintendent of the Bomarton schools in 1936. He was an able instructor and a talented manager of the school. He died of typhoid fever just a few days after his wife's death. Mr. Ivans was a member of the Baptist Church and a devout Christian. Survivors include his mother; six brothers; two half-brothers; four sisters.
