Seneca (Special)--Seneca's oldest resident, Mrs. Orlena Alice Lane, died here Tuesday afternoon at the age of 94. She succumbed at the home of friends, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Cooper, after a long illness.
Born northwest of Seneca on May 13, 1862, Mrs. Lane lived in this area of all her life.
She belonged to the local Baptist Church where final rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. J. M. Campbell and the Rev. Henry Pittman, both of Seneca, will officiate. Interment will be in the Seneca Cemetery under direction of the Biddlecome mortuary.
Closest relatives are nieces and nephews including Mrs. Lee Grainger and Mrs. Mary
Blankenship, both of Seneca, and Leu Burkhart, Joplin.

Alfred J. Lane married Sarah S. Burkhart 10 August 1879 in Greenwood, Kansas. Sarah S. Burkart and Orlena Alice were sisters.
