Linda Kay Wilson Lockman, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Linda was born on October 30, 1947, in Iredell County to the late Asahel Jeremiah "AJ" Wilson and Mary Frances Taylor Wilson. She was a graduate of Statesville High School. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Linda was faithful and dedicated in her service in the Nursery, Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society organizations. Her greatest work in life was being "Mother," loving her family and her near perfect example of being a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, Ned Eugene Lockman III.

Those left to cherish Linda's memory include her five children, Jeromy Mark Lockman (Misty), Carrie L. Clark, Benjamin Ryan Lockman (Hilary June), Mandy Mazzola (Davide) and Brian Michael Lockman. She is further survived by eight grandchildren David, Christopher, Chloe, Ally, Jake, Josh, Natalie, and Anthony. Linda is survived by one brother, Keith Wilson (Jane). Linda is also survived by one aunt, Vivian Taylor, and her many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Linda is survived by a lifetime of friends like "Barb" and Frances Coalson ("My Angel," as Linda called her).

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 426 Jane Sowers Road, Statesville, NC 28677 with Bishop Charlie Loyd officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery.
