Mr. Robert Sterling White, 72, died at 5 a.m. Monday at the residence of Nathan Stokes, Rt. 1, Cairo. He had been in failing health for approximately six months.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday at Bold Springs Methodist church. The Elder Josh Davis officiated. Interment was in Bold Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Prince, Ben F. Dixon, Alvin Dixon, Ellis Singletary, Willard Griner and Jake Griner.
The deceased was born on Nov. 23, 1880, in what is now Grady county. He was the son of the late John and Fanny (Walsenham) White. A lifetime resident
of this section, he was a farmer by occupation.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Laura Cox White, this county; three sons, W. R. White of Thomasville, Olin White of Fort Pierce Fla., and Wayne White of
Attala, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. Samp Griner of Grady county, and Mrs. Loyce Halstead of LaGrange; a brother, Anderson White; Grady county; and a sis-
ter, Mrs. H. H.. Kelly of Cairo. Twelve Grandchildren and two
great grandchildren also survive.
Forsyth-Bearden Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
