The family resided in Oklahoma City where Carmen was the eldest of three siblings. She played volleyball and was on the Homecoming court at Mustang High School where she graduated in 1977. Carmen enjoyed watching the Oklahoma Sooners or the Dallas Cowboys, and her favorite thing was to spend time with family in Oklahoma, or on the beach in Charleston, South Carolina.
Carmen is survived by her two sons, a daughter, a brother and 4 grandchildren.
Carmen is preceded in death by her parents, John and Karen (Stubblefield) Barnette; her sister, Lori Barnette, and two grandchildren, Maverick & Mack.
Services will be held in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Interment to follow at Elmore City Cemetery in Elmore City, Oklahoma.
