Alice Amanda Wagner was the fifth child and second daughter born to Noah and Rose Potter Wagner of Shouns, Tennessee. She married Edwin Earl Brown, of Mountain City, Tennessee in 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland, and they had a daughter in 1948. They moved to Georgia in 1955, living in Conyers for over 30 years. She worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for 17 years as a probation aide. She was an avid golfer, playing with the Senior Golfers with the Honey Creek Country Club. Alice and Earl celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2007.
