Daughtrey, Thomas Knight, Sr., "Tom" , 89, of Sandston, Virginia, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023. He was the son of Major Lyman Carroll and Ruth Knight Daughtrey.

He is also preceded in death by his brother, Lyman Carroll Daughtrey, Jr., and a sister, Barbara Hilton.

Tom received his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia where he was in the Corps of Cadets, and The Highty Tighties (Regimental Band). He completed his Army tour as a First Lieutenant and then pursued a Master of Science from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Tom worked for and retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 30 years. He was a Master Mason and served in various capacities at Woodland Heights Lodge and was an active member of Black Heath Daylight Lodge. He was also active in Scottish Rite and ACCA Shrine.

Tom enjoyed traveling, restoring antique vehicles, and collecting coins. He was an active member and deeply involved with his church, Sandston Presbyterian.
