She was born July 22, 1967, in Flemingsburg, daughter of Roy Lee Gray and the late Bonnie Jo Fannin Gray.
Sherry was a graduate of Fleming County High School and continued her education at Morehead State University achieving her master's degree. She taught school at Straub Elementary in the Mason County School System. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Baptist Church.
She had a love for horses from attending horse shows, riding, to judging and then becoming Miss Rodeo Kentucky in 1987. Other than Sherry's love for horses, she enjoyed the beach, gardening, especially her Peonies.
Sherry loved her family and was a dedicated wife, mother, and a grandmother.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her twin brother Jerry Gray.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, David Howard Christiansen Jr., two sons: Aaron Christiansen and Cole Christiansen and his wife Abigail. Her father, Roy Lee Gray, two brothers: Jimmy Gray of Flemingsburg and Jody Gray of Georgetown, Kentucky. One granddaughter Avery Christiansen who was her pride and joy.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday February,21, 2023 at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Rich Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5:30 P.M. Monday at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Brian Sapp, Drew Ellis, Charlie Bradbury, Michael Gray, Caden Arrasmith, Jamie Collingsworth, Bradley Gray and Johnny Wurzback.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Christiansen, Cole Christiansen, Jimmy Gray and Jody Gray.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sherry Christiansen Memorial Scholarship Fund at the US Bank in Flemingsburg, 288A Windsor Road, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041.
