Cochran – Abie G. Giddens, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Union Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Abie was born on September 13, 1932, in Dodge County. He was the son of the late W.T. and Effie Smith Giddens. He was a graduate of Dodge County High School and earned an Associate's Degree from Middle Georgia College. He served in the United States Army and on June 29, 1956, he married the love of his life, Ms. Catherine Busbee. He was a retired civil service worker having worked for Robins Air Force Base and for MERC Defense Contractors. He was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and had served as a deacon for many years. He was also a member of Gideons International. Mr. Abie was a devoted husband, a loving father, a generous grandfather and a devout Christian.

The family deeply appreciates and would like to thank Mr. Abie's caretakers, Shannon and Elizabeth from HomeInstead, for everything they did for him and his family.

The family is at 875 GA Hwy 126 and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Saturday, in Union Hill Baptist Church.
