David H. Anderson Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully February 6, 2023 at his daughter's home in Ashland, where he resided the past year, while fighting health issues.
David was born in Ashland on August 4, 1946 to Harry & Jean Anderson. On April 24, 1965 he married Connie Sturgal, from which they had four children. Barbara (Rick) Przybylski, David Jr. (Rebecca) Anderson, Thomas (Janelle) Anderson, and Annie (Stephen) Adamski.
David was a hard worker, he worked many years at the B & M Garage and the Ashland Fire Department where he worked for 25 years and retired as captain/paramedic.
David was an avid sports fan and enjoyed going to the casino and playing scratch offs. He was known for his large garden, baking skills and his sassy and silly sense of humor. He also enjoyed going fishing and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
David is survived by his 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. His 5 brothers, Paul (Jody) Anderson, Lyle (Marie) Anderson, Jerry (Rosemary) Anderson, Steve (Mary Lou) Anderson, Donald (Susan) Anderson and sister Caren (Andy) Richards.
David is preceeded in death by his wife Connie, his parents, two sisters-in-law Jody and Rosemary Anderson, brother-in-law Andy Richards, and a foster brother Bernie Jackson

A funeral service for David will take place on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00 am, with Pastor Rick Williams officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 am at the church. A reception will follow the service.
