FAYETTEVILLE - Mildred Mae Walters Clark, 85, of Fayetteville died Feb. 26, 2008, at The Maples in Springdale. She was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Springdale to Frederick and Willie Bess Walters.

She was a graduate of Springdale High School and attended Fayetteville Business College. She was employed at the business office of the University of Arkansas and worked for 33 years at First State Bank in Springdale. She was pianist with Doyle Clark and the Lazy Riders and played accordion with the Skunk Holler Band during the 1960s. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Springdale where she sang in the Singing Saints Choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Clark.

Survivors include one daughter, Vicky Strange and husband, Rob, of Fayetteville; one brother, Lemuel Espen Walters of Springdale; four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.
