Doris Jean Scroggins passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Shawnee, OK.
She was born May 11, 1935, in Tecumseh, OK to Roy and Juanita (Wisdom) Hogan. Doris graduated from Tecumseh High School and Draughn Business School. She was school secretary for the Shawnee Public School System for thirty-three plus years: Wilson Elementary, Will Rogers Elementary, and Sequoyah Elementary schools.
Doris' first husband, John Coats, was killed in the tornado that hit Shawnee in 1970. On August 19, 1980, she married Frank Scroggins.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Jr. Service League, and Alpha Mother's Club.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Juanita Hogan and husbands, John Coats, and Frank Scroggins.
Funeral Services were Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Scott Schooler officiating.
