Darrell Hugh Adams, 72, of Nevada, Iowa, died on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

Darrell was born on November 18, 1949, in Blairsburg, the son of Hugh and Velva (Bailey) Adams. He worked hard and earned his GED. Darrell worked for the Iowa D.O.T. in various positions where he retired from after many years. Many of those years were spent with his wife, Renee Ruden, living on an acreage outside of Nevada, Iowa.

Darrell liked taking care of his horses, relaxing at home, and supporting Iowa State Cyclones Athletics. Darrell was always there for his family, spending lots of time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Renee Ruden of Nevada; his sons, Hugh (Torrie) Adams of Watford City, North Dakota, Ehren of Portland, Oregon, and Jason (Stacy) Baker of Slater; his daughter, Nicole Ruden (Matt Moore); his sisters, Rosemary (Larry) Woodley of Nevada, and Zoeann (Dwight) Kramer of Ames; and grandchildren.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
