Mrs. Sell L. (Hattie C.) Culp, Jr.
died October 22, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital. She was born February 25, 1917 in Lincolnton, NC, the daughter of the late Dr. George H. and Bess Abernathy Costner.
Educated in the Lincolnton City Schools, and graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College, she did graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she met Sell. They were married October 23, 1942.
Mrs. Culp was an elementary teacher in the Belmont, NC, City Schools, and the Mecklenburg County Schools. She was a Charter Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Sell L. Culp Jr.,
Visitation will be at the home.
Interment, private for the family, will be at Forest Lawn West on Thursday, October 25, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 25, 2001 in Morrison Chapel of Covenant Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m.
