Beverly Ann Connolly of Mechanicsburg passed away on Thursday, February 02, 2023 in Harrisburg Hospital just weeks shy of her 88th birthday.

Born February 21, 1935 in Hackensack, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Charles Bernard, Sr. and Anne D. (Sullenberger) Kray.

Bev received a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, Class of 1956.

She married George S. Connolly in 1957 and spent their honeymoon traveling across America to Coronado, California where they started their family. As a dedicated U.S. Navy wife, she made every move an adventure - full of promise of new friends and places to visit - and often raising the children while George served on ships and overseas.

Bev worked as an Auditor for the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union before retiring.

She was an active member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church where she had served as a Lector and on the Liturgy and Hospitality Committees.

Bev read for the blind with Radio Reading Service and had been a volunteer at Holy Spirit Hospital.

She loved swimming, reading, traveling, puzzles, and card games and was a tireless volunteer in every one of her communities.

In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her brother: Charles B. Kray.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years: George S. Connolly; her daughters: Karen A. (Richard) Pietraccini, Jeanne E. (Phillip) Dunlevy, Alice M. Zenner, and Terese R. (Robert) Essis; her sons: Michael G. (Belinda) Connolly and Richard C. Connolly and fiancé: Lisa Simmers; her seventeen grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; and, her brother: Thomas R. Kray.

There will be a Viewing from 05:00 - 07:00 PM on Tuesday, February 07, 2023 in Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 08, 2023 in St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
