Lynda Marilyn Green Hales passed away peacefully in her own home after a long hard fought battle with cancer on March 3, 2016 at the age of 68. She was born on April 20, 1947 to Lorin C. Green and Helen Hilton Green Eaton, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lynda attended Olympus High School and married the love of her life, Gary Hales on March. 17, 1974 in Elko, Nevada. She was a creative, very passionate and intelligent woman and the author of four published novels. She enjoyed sewing, writing and traveling, and was an active member of the Romance Writers Club of America, and of the Paranormal Romance Club. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorin C. Green and Helen Eaton; her brother, Dwayne Green; son, Michael Hales; and daughter, Christy Hanson. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Hales; daughters, Robyn Carlson, Tami Hales, and Melissa (Doug) Schroeder; sister, Margaret Eaton; brother, Douglas (Pat) Green and sister-in-law, Mae Green. Lynda also leaves behind five grandchildren and one great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. Family and close friends are welcome to come and celebrate Lynda's life.
