Edward M. Gullickson, formerly of Menasha, age 75, passed away early Wednesday morning November 29, 1989 at Valhaven Care Center in Neenah following a lengthy illness. He was born December 25, 1913 in Neenah, the son of Albert and Amelia Gullickson. He had been a resident of Menasha most of his life. He had been employed at the Kimberly Clark Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of their Quarter Century Club and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a former baseball player for the Menasha Merchants. He was an avid golfer and bowler and an avid sports fan. He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Jerome (Lynn) Suttner, Menasha, Debra Rippl, Reno Nevada; two sons and their wives: Jack and Marie, Janesville; and Bruce and Dianne, Menasha; a sister Mrs. Rose Schilhabel; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Mr Gullickson was preceded in death by his wife Julia in 1977; four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 2, 1989, 10:30 a.m. at Laemmrich Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father William O'Halloran S.S.S. officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call at Laemmrich Funeral Home on Friday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. There will be a 7 p.m. prayer service. A memorial fund has been established.
