Ex-Policeman Dies; Service Set Tonight
Services for Crayton J. Brown, 74, retired service station attendant and one-time policeman, will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Coulter-Brown funeral chapel.
Mr. Brown died Thursday night in a Tulsa convalescent home. He had been ill several weeks.
He was employed about 10 years at the Patrick Service station, 3556 Southwest blvd., until he retired 3 years ago.
Mr. Brown first came to Tulsa in 1909 and lived here a short time before returning to his native Sarcoxie, Mo. He came back to Tulsa in 1924 and was a policeman, tool dresser and oil driller before he became associated with the service station.
Survivors include the widow, Bonnie, and a daughter, Mrs. Wilda Hughes. both of the home, *in Tulsa; a brother, Homer Brown, Sarcoxie; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Johnson, and Miss Hattie Brown, both of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and a grandchild.
Interment will be Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery.
