Franklin News-Herald, Tuesday, Feb 24 1981:
Mrs. Hazel I. Graham, 80, of 56 Washington Street, died at 2:50 om Monday in Franklin Hospital where she was admitted earlier in the day. Born Sept. 1, 1900 in Franklin, she was a daughter of Clarence and Margaret Wright Beggs.

She spent her entire life in Franklin where she attended school, graduating in 1918 from Franklin High School. She worked in the high school cafeteria for a long period, and was head of the cafeteria, part of that time. She was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class, and the Women's Society there.

On Jan. 25, 1921 she married Lawrence E. Graham, and he died Nov. 26 1973.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William T. (Virginia) Wertman of Morgantown, WV, and Miss Mary Ellen Graham of Franklin; six grandchildren, William Wertman of Martinsburg, WV, Dr. Michael Wertman and Dr. Mark Wertman of Morgantown, and Richard Graham, Mrs. Timothy (Sue Ellen) Nick, and Michael Graham of Franklin; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wesley (Margaret) Rodgers of Franklin; and two brothers, Wayne and Lewis Beggs of Franklin. Deceased are a son, Richard L. Graham; a daughter, Joan Graham; a grandson, Wayne Graham; four brothers, Robert, Harvey, Clarence, and Harry Beggs; and a sister, Mrs. Weldon (Mary Ellen) Rice.

Services will be at 11 am Thursday at Huff Chapel with Rev. David W. Bunnell, pastor of Oak Hill U. M. Church, officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemtery.
