Mrs. Bertha B. Preble, 82, died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital, following an illness of three months. She was the widow of Claude W. Preble Sr.
Mrs. Preble was a native of Putnam County. She was born on May 27, 1878, and was past matron of the Pythian Sisters Lodge and a member of the Central Church of Christ.
She is survived by a son; Claude W. Preble Jr, a daughter; Mrs. N. E. Nettleton of Largo, Florida, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
The body will remain and Chiles and Son Funeral Home where services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Paul N. Runk will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Saturday.
