At 16 years of age Brother Peters came to Gladwin county, Mich., where he continued to live till removed by death. On the 8th day of September, 1896 he was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Hetherington. To this union three daughters were born. One of them preceded her father to the spirit land.
Brother Peters was converted to God during the pastorate of Rev. G. B. Day. Since that time he has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in McClure. Our brother assured us that he was at peace with God while we mourn our loss, he rejoices in his eternal gain.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wade Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 from the McClure church with interment at Ridge cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 12-30/1915 Column – 5 Page – 1.
