Leslie Byron McAtee died yesterday at Palms of Pasedena Hospital in South Pasadena, Florida. He was a resident of South Pasedena.
He was born Aug 28, 1900, in Union, IN. His parents were Charles B. McAtee and Anna (Davidson) McAtee. He first was married to Madge (Baker) McAtee, who preceded him in death in 1972. He then married Mary (Miles) McAtee, who preceded him in death in 1982. He later married Margaret Lovely in September 1982. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Bonneta M. Julliard and Jean L. McKay, both of Gatlingburg, TN; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
He was a self-employed farmer in Kane County, IL for 12 years retiring in 1968. Prior to World War II, he taught vocational agriculture in Whiteland and Trafalgar schools for 9 years.
He was a member of Pasadena Community Church in South Pasadena and Gibson Lodge 420 F&AM in Hazelton, IN
He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
Bonneta Julliard will conduct a service at 10 am Saturday at Wilson-St. Pierre Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
