It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia "Nana" Riley Cornelius of San Angelo, Texas and formerly of Throckmorton County.

Born in Gorman, Texas on October 23, 1936; she went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2023, at the age of 86 after a 20 year battle with Parkinson's.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas Parker and Nova Elvana (Allison) Riley, brother, Rueben Allison Riley and infant brother Thomas, all of Throckmorton County.

A lifelong care giver and wife she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jene Paul Cornelius and their four children, son Joe Cornelius and wife Solange of Fulshear, Texas, and three daughters, Joyce Doan and her husband Donnie of Merkel, Texas, Julie Kretschmer and husband Don of San Angelo Texas and Jeanne Bell and husband Mark of San Angelo, Texas. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, Dustin Doan of Abilene, Texas; Cody, Kambri, Sterling and Cheyenne Kretschmer of Quinlan, Texas; Kyle, Heather and Kadence Cornelius of Fulshear, Texas; Josh, Megan, Hudson, Harlyn and Hayes Fraiser of San Angelo, Texas; Jeff, Esmeralda, Gabriel, Ezra, and Juliana Cornelius of Katy, Texas; Chad, Chelsey and Zane Kretschmer of Abilene, Texas; Jacob, Brianna, Brycen, Connor and Audrey Fraiser of San Angelo, Texas; Lucas, Lauren and Laney Bell of San Angelo, Texas and Allison Bell of San Angelo, Texas.

A loving wife, mother and Nana, she was also known affectionately as Nana Pat to the countless children she kept in home daycare for over 65 years so she could stay home with her four children and help with her grandchildren; she will always be remembered for her gentleness and kindness while on Earth. A very faithful servant of God and member of the Church of Christ, she left a legacy of love as Jesus asked all of us to do.

A special thanks to Hospice of San Angelo, especially DJ Alcala, Aracelie Flores, Crystal Robles-Delgado, Victoria Beach, and Whitney Powell, for the guidance, care and love they gave to Patricia in the final days of her life.

A visitation with family will be held on January 30, 2023, at 9:30 AM followed by a celebration of life at 10:30 AM at Johnson Street Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice of San Angelo (HOSA).
