Lenora Ellen Arp was born February 4, 1925, in Muscatine County near Maysville, the daughter of Arnold and Mabel (Roehlk) Arp. She attended school in Maysville. She married Wayne William Paulsen on September 26, 1942. Together they farmed their century farm and was a homemaker, until they retired. Wayne preceded her in death on October 4, 1982. She was a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Davenport and a member of the Durant Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening and attending family activities. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Verdene Paulsen; one son-in-law, Lon Bachus; seven grandchildren, Matt (Jennai) Bachus of Evergreen, CO, Dean (Scott Million) Bachus of Chicago, IL, Colin Schroeder of Bridgeport, PA, Amanda (Ben) Gloyd of Spencer, Jon (Emily) Paulsen of Sioux Falls, SD, Andrew (Heather) Paulsen of Sioux Center and Mikaela (Tyson) Otto of Castle Rock, CO; 17 great-grandchildren, Marisa, Brandon, Jorie, Julia, Alice, Eliza, Amelia, Isla, William, Violet, Isaiah, Wyatt, Elijah, Tate, Wilder, Hannah and Wallace; and two sisters, Phyllis Miller and Shirley (Dick) Fidlar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Nancy Bachus and Peggy Schroeder, one son, Stephen Paulsen, one granddaughter, Cheryl Carbonell, one sister, Jean Rock, one brother, Lester Arp and one brother-in-law, Wally Miller.
