Evelyn Virginia Allman Brown, of Kannapolis, passed away peacefully in her home and was greeted by the arms of Jesus on February 26, 2022.

Evelyn was born on July 29, 1930, to the late James "Mack" Allman and the late Bessie Honeycutt Allman and is preceded in death by nine siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 71 years, James Stewart Brown Jr. (97). Evelyn and James joined in marriage on July 15, 1950, and have two children, Gay Brown Adams (Jimmy), and Dennis Brown (Sandra); a grandson, Jason Adams; a great-granddaughter, Alexis Parson-Adams; and a bonus great-granddaughter, Kelly Russ Miller (Matthew); and her nieces and nephews. A sincere and special thanks to Kathy Jenkins, her niece, and friends that became family: Jerry and Sheila Fagan, and Malia and Mike Foil.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, March 3rd at Bethpage United Methodist Church, Kannapolis; service will follow at 1 pm. Memorials may be made to Bethpage United Methodist Church at 109 Fellowship Ave, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
