A native of Washington County, she was born on May 8, 1933 to the late Robert Lee and Carrie Berl Sanders Brown.
She was a member of the Brush Grove Baptist Church where she served as pianist for many years. She was a graduate of Willisburg High School and a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Rucker Burton Haydon on October 1, 2006; a sister, Ethel Whitehouse and six brothers, Hansford, Johnny, Kenneth, William Austin, Roy and Trimble Brown.
Survivors include her son, Larry Haydon (Mary Carey) of Springfield; three nieces and five nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Hood, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Terry McIlvoy.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
