Maggie was the second of nine children born to Hosea and Mary Sue (Moose) Sipe. She married Emah Allen Miller in 1899 and they had eight children: Euart Orr, Mamie Estelle, Carrie Lee, James Arthur, William Clarence, Maggie Jane, Dolly Mae and Walter Emah.

Dies at Home

Mrs. Maggie Sipes Miller, 79 year-old wife of E. A. Miller, 1318 Fifth street, died suddenly at 12:30 p.m. yesterday at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Hosea and Mary Moose Sipes.
Survivors other than her husband include one son, Walter Miller, Statesville; four daughters, Mrs. H. R. Feimster, Mt. Ulla, Mrs. J. C. Garwood, Troutman, Mrs. W. W. Fox, Statesville, and Mrs. J. V. Shoemaker, Charlotte; four brothers, Charles Sipes, Clinton, S.C., Will Sipes, Catawba, Martin Sipes, route 6, Statesville, and Ross Sipes, route 6, Statesville, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Pope, route 6, Statesville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow at Pressly Memorial A.R.P. church with Rev. L. M. Allison, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery.
The body will be removed from the chapel of Johnson funeral home at 9 a.m., tomorrow to the home where it will remain until 30 minutes before the funeral hour.
