Rudolfo was a kind and loving man who loved all his family enormously. Rudolfo was a meat cutter by trade for nearly 30 years and after retirement he loved to spend his time outdoors. Rudolfo loved hunting and fishing during his younger years. His favorite pass time was touring on his trokitas, to the Pueblo or to the Monte de Piñon or the Sierra in El Rito and Vallecitos. He loved hauling his leña de piñon and Encino and did it up until his death.
Rudolfo loved visiting his son and daughters and his grandkids, when they were out camping. Rudolfo also loved playing sports to include jogging, basketball and softball and managed many teams for many years.
Rudolfo also was a musician who played the guitar and harmonica and had a God given voice. Rudolfo was unique and had a passion and love for giving "Los Dias" a New Year's tradition in northern New Mexico, during his younger years.
Rudolfo was born on January 17, 1949, in El Rito, New Mexico to Estella and Moises Archuleta.
Rudolfo was preceded in death by his father, Moises, mother, Estella, brothers, Camillo and Pete, sister, Genara and first-born brother, Teofilo Archuleta.
Rudolfo is survived by his son, Christopher Archuleta (Bridget), daughter, Kimberly Archuleta-Vigil (Cipriano Jr.), daughter, Jerralynn Archuleta-Terrazas (Jaime), granddaughters, Marisol Archuleta, Gabriella Archuleta, Carmella Archuleta, Karina Terrazas and LeAndra Archuleta, grandsons. Alonzo Vigil and Luiscarlos Terrazas, ex-wife and mother of his children, Partricia Gallegos, sisters, Romie Oselio, Isabel Siqueiros (Beto) and Floraida Martínez (Augustine), brothers, Ted Archuleta (Frances) and George Archuleta (Frances), sister-in-law, Grace Archuleta, brothers-in-law, Moises Archuleta Jr. (Genara), Cres Archuleta (Gail), Steve Archuleta (Isadora) and Tony Archuleta (Janet), along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at The DeVargas Mortuary in Española, New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow the Mass, at Cementerio de San Juan Nepomuseno in El Rito, NM.
Serving the Archuleta Family as Pallbearers will be granddaughters, Marisol Archuleta, Gabriella Archuleta, Carmella Archuleta, Karina Terrazas, LeAndra Archuleta and grandsons, Alonzo Vigil and Luiscarlos Terrazas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Goddaughters, Rebecca Gallegos and the late Sasha Alire and Godson, Jeronimo Alire.
