He was born April 7, 1923 in Catawba County to the late Lawrence and Addie Link Hefner. Adrian was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, American Legion Post 16, and a World War II Army veteran, serving in Europe attached to the Sixth Armored Division under the command of General George Patton. He fought in 7 major battles and by God's Grace survived them all. Adrian enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and square dancing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Cordell Hefner; brother, Robert L. Hefner; sisters, Inez Frye, Doris Deal, Pauline Reinhardt, and Shirley Watts; and granddaughter, Alisha Anne Hefner.

A service to celebrate Adrian's life will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover. Rev. Mike Geml will officiate. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 16 will follow at Conover City Cemetery.
