Janice was born to RJ and Martina Tinney on January 20,1955, in Pampa, Texas; she was 68 years old. Janice genuinely and deeply loved her family and friends, and she never met a stranger. All who knew her, knew she loved to talk. She was known for telling stories, many times the same story over and over again; she really liked your attention. She had a very specific daily schedule that one should not attempt to interrupt. She had many dogs and cats that she devoted her life to care for. Janice's favorite things were the soap opera All My Children, Dolly Parton, going to town, and ice cream. She babysat all the children of the family and brought great joy and laughter to everyone.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, RJ and Martina Tinney, her niece, Tina Myers, nephew Larry Putman, and great-nephew Layton Putman.
She is survived by her four sisters, Margery Malone of Bells, Texas, Donna Harvey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Peggy Tinney of Durant, Oklahoma and Gale Price of Duncan, Oklahoma as well as many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Her last week of life was spent in Hospice of Wichita Falls. The doctors, nurses and staff treated her with dignity and grace all while loving and caring for her and her family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Wichita Falls in her memory.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 28th at the chapel at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas at 1pm. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at the cemetery.
